Domaine de la Paonnerie spreads over 56 acres of vines. La Paonnerie vineyards are located on the northern bank of the Loire river, right between two renowned wine countries; the Anjou region and the Nantes region.

Jacques and Agnès Carroget operate 23 hectares of of vineyards that are now worked in biodynamics. They converted to organic viticulture in 1997 and have grown over the years to become more natural in every aspect of their production. A number of the cuvées that they produce are completely without sulfur, however the ones that we have imported all have a small amount added at bottling. They work with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, Chenin Blanc, and Melon. All of the wines are made in resin containers as they prefer their wines to have higher, fresher tones then is often given from the use of oak.
