Vineyard Information: Vineyards are situated in the Comune of Barbaresco in the Rio Sordo Valley. They have an east exposure where they vines received sun until sunset.
Winemaking Notes: The skins remain in contact with the must during the first fermentation for fourteen days. They are then submersed during fermentation by pumping over. Malolactic fermentation is done in the cellar at the temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Wine is aged in traditional big Slavonian oak casks for 20 months and for a period of time in bottle. No filtration and clarification.
Tasting Notes: Intense ruby red, deep and brilliant. Red roses, cherry and little fruits, tobacco, chocolate and a balsamic vein. Impressive finesse and elegance, remarkable minerality with a long persistent finish.
