Winemaking Notes: Stainless steel tank and cement tanks of 10,000 lit capacity. The short cycle Tempranillo variety is usually harvested mid Sept. Maceration and fermentation takes 10 days for Tempranillo, followed by 2 days of post maceration at cool temperatures (41° F).
Tasting Notes: Deep red. Pungent redcurrant and cherry aromas are complicated by anise, black pepper and dried rose. Red fruit preserves and bitter cherry on the silky palate, along with a touch of rhubarb. Closes on a tangy note, with gentle tannic grip and a lingering cherry pit quality. Flaco shows the complexity of a serious wine for the price of a song! The luscious fruit and soft texture make it a perfect wine to craft high quality Sangria.

Flaco 2012 Tempranillo, Vinos de Madrid DO
Rating: 88
(all stainless steel): Vivid ruby-red. Bright, spice-accented red fruit and flowers on the nose and palate. Light-bodied, very fruity and brisk, with firm finishing cut and no tannins to get in the way of immediate gratification. This is way too easy to drink.
