Jean-Philippe Fichet 2011 Meursault Blanc, Gruyaches, AOC
Rating: 90(+?)
(these vines date back to 1928): Good pale yellow. Subtle aromas of stone fruits, smoke and hazelnut. Pure, subtle and ripe, showing good balance and intensity to its stone fruit, mineral and floral flavors. Conveys an enticing sweetness but Fichet says this has barely one gram per liter of residual sugar. Finishes with very good length and the backbone to reward some cellaring.
