Vinification: From the two red grapes of Chianti: Sangiovese and Canaiolo after a long maceration on the skins in glass-lined cement tanks, it matures for 12 months in barriques. Time enriches its secondary aromas and its dry flavor. It is a genuine and fruitful Chianti.

Food Pairings: By choice, it is a powerful, up front wine, a wine that gathers the traditional aromas of the old vineyards, a wine for well laid out tables rather than wine tastings. This is a perfect wine for meats, from poultry to beef to pork, either grilled, roasted or cooked atop the stove. It is also excellent with lamb, duck, pheasant, prosciutto and other fine cold cuts.
