About the Wine: This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is made from Bryant's 13-acre estate vineyard atop Pritchard Hill, overlooking Lake Hennessey. This First Growth vineyard is meticulously farmed by David Abreu, with whom they have worked closely for over 12 years. This wine is a beautiful expression of Bryant's unique terroir and a testament to the dedication of their winemaking and vineyard team to produce the finest possible wine from this site.
Winemaker, Todd Alexander’s Tasting Notes: "The 2011 Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet
Sauvignon is an exquisite wine characterized by lots of finesse and energy, and
accentuated by aromatics that include blue and red fruits, vanilla bean,
freshly cut flowers, dried herbs, toffee, incense and cloves. It has a medium-full weight on the palate,
and silky, polished tannins. The acidity
is perfectly balanced and helps to bring the wine through a long, clean
finish. In the short term, this wine will benefit
from decanting for over an hour. Given
some time in the cellar, it will develop and drink beautifully through at least
2025." About the Estate: Bryant Family Vineyard located on rocky Sobrante soils overlooking Lake Hennessey at the northern end of Pritchard Hill. The west-facing slope just below the ridge top is perfectly sited to capture prevailing cool lake breezes, while providing protection from drying canyon winds. The combination of soil, sunlight, cool breezes, rockiness, soil depth, and meticulous farming yield wines of exceptional quality. Read more on Napa's Pritchard Hill.
