Tasting Notes: The wine is crisp and fresh with aromatic floral and stone notes. There are hints of white peach and red delicious apple. The zippy backbone of racy acid creates a persistent finish.
Pfeffingen Estate: This family-run estate is managed with the goal in mind to deliver the highest possible wine quality every year, and after 250 years of practice, they have an excellent history of fantastic winemaking! The vineyards stretch westward from the estate up the slope or lie directly around the house in relatively flat, warm sites. During the second half of the 1980s, all of the vineyards were replanted as part of land reallocation measures. They now stretch over a total of 15 hectares.

Rating: 90
Firm yet unctuous, with a flinty essence to the white plum, currant and chamomile flavors, supported by concentrated acidity. Shows fine balance and plenty of snap on the spicy finish, revealing hints of dried pineapple and mango. Drink now through 2017. 840 cases made. -K.M.
